Who does your mum love the most - yes - you!
What most Mums love most in the world is their children. Even if no-one else is on your side – your mum always is. She might not agree with you all the time and may even shout and yell from time to time – but she is the one person who loves you best and always wants the best for you. It works the other way round too; her world would not be the same without you.
Children, whether they are aware of it or not, have the supreme power to make their parents happy and contented or sad. That goes for grown up children too. As one mum said to me recently – “You never stop being a mum, no matter how old your children are – and you never stop worrying!” It doesn’t matter how rich or poor you are; no mum can be happy if her children are not.
So, what do Mum’s really want? Her number 1 desire is to have time with her children. So make an effort this Mother’s Day to spend a while just talking to her. Make sure you listen too! Find out what she thinks, her dreams and what she wants from life. Ask questions! Be interested.

Giving your Mum a present on Mother’s Day is now expected of us all. There is huge pressure to buy expensive gifts as if love is all about the money you spend. We all know that it is not as simple as just buying just anything. Mother’s Day presents have to be personal – something that says how special your relationship is.
One idea to make your Mum’s day really special is to put some effort into making or designing a gift just for her. Why not find a photo of you and your mum doing something together – it may be a special holiday you took together that holds good memories, a trip out or time spent at home. Frame it or find a way of putting it into a gift that she will see often. The frame can be homemade if you are good with your hands or there are plenty available in the shops. You could even buy a plain frame and decorate it yourself.
If you are short of cash – what about suggesting a walk together in the afternoon. It doesn’t have to be expensive to be special. It’ll give you a chance to talk and to simply spend time together.
Most Mums (and kids too) want to think
that their relationship is an enduring one. Give your mum something on this Mother’s Day that she’ll be able to enjoy all year!
